Get Help

You've tried everything.

Your brain still won't switch off.

I help high-performing professionals understand what’s keeping their mind switched on and finally feel calm, clear and in control again.

You deserve to enjoy the life that you have built.

Let's Talk

Most of the people I work with arrive one of two ways.

Some come in with a list. Almost like they need to show their work first.

They’ll say something like:

“Just so you know… I’ve already done a lot to try and sort this.”

Then the list comes out:

  • They exercise.
  • They eat well.
  • They’ve worked with coaches.
  • They’ve read the books.
  • They understand stress, mindset, habits
  • They’re proactive.
  • They give things their full effort.

And most of the time in their life that approach solves the problem.

But not this one.

Others arrive differently.

They have not tried anything yet. Not because they do not care, but because nothing has ever felt quite right for them.

The therapy world has not spoken their language.

The coaching world has not gone deep enough.

So they have kept going, kept performing, kept quietly carrying it.

Both arrive at the same place.

They still overanalyse conversations. Still prepare for things weeks away. Still replay decisions long after they're finished. They're exhausted — not lazy, not lacking discipline.

Just mentally drained from a brain that never powers down.

The frustrating part?

They're intelligent enough to understand exactly what's happening. They know the theories. They can explain the psychology. Knowing hasn't changed how it feels.

Because this isn't really a thinking problem.

It's a nervous system that learned, somewhere along the way, that staying one step ahead of everything is how life stays steady. That logic and rationale are how we handle feelings.

So the brain adapts - scanning, planning, anticipating, preparing.

And it worked. That way of operating probably helped build your success.

But underneath the constant thinking, there's usually something much simpler driving it: a need to feel safe. And when your nervous system believes safety comes from staying switched on, logic alone won't quiet it.

You don't need more motivation or discipline. You've already proved you're capable of that.

What you need is to understand why your mind learned to operate this way and how to teach it that it doesn't have to stay on guard anymore.

When that shift happens, something real changes.

You feel present.

The analysing eases.

And for the first time in a long time, your mind realises it doesn't have to keep solving problems that don't exist.

"Rachel is down to earth and helps you through what is happening right now, but also gives proper systems to help in the future. Rachel understands the corporate world and how the pressures and expectations of this can impact. This gives her unique insight to the support she offers."

This Isn't Relaxation Advice. It's Rewiring.

I'm a CBT therapist working with high-achieving professionals whose thinking minds have outpaced their nervous systems.

My approach is structured, evidence-based, and blends Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with  Compassion Focus therapy and nervous-system-focused work.

Because overthinking isn't a thinking problem and you can't logic your way out of a system that's learned to stay switched on.

What this means in practice: we don't just analyse your thoughts. We teach your body a different baseline.

So the calm becomes something you feel, not something you have to keep reminding yourself to perform.

I work with you in person in East Kilbride and Strathaven near Glasgow, or online across the UK.

I didn't come to this work through theory.

Before I trained as a therapist, I spent years in global finance, leading sales and retention teams. Fast, high pressure, relentless. You're only as good as your last result and even that doesn't last long.

I was the reliable one. The one who figured it out. The one who kept everyone else steady.

And I loved it, the rush, the wins, the speed.

I didn't see what it was costing me until I burned out.

Not a long weekend. Months.

What made it harder: everyone still thought I'd be fine, because that's what I'd always shown them.

'I'm fine. I'll figure it out.'

Even when I couldn't. Even when nothing worked.

That's why I work the way I do now.

I don't sit at a distance from your world; I understand the pressure, the mental load, the expectations from every direction.

And I know the same traits that help you succeed can quietly run you into the ground.

Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me walking, paddleboarding, or climbing hills, mostly getting overtaken by sheep who are clearly better at it than me and clearly judging.
